Responsibilities/Accountabilities

We have an amazing opportunity for a Life Enrichment Director that can: 

• Monitorsquality and effectiveness of all of the resident programming includingadmission assessment and care plans
• Evaluatesthe activity program through consultation with the residents and families,CEO/Administrator, other department leaders, and outside sources as appropriate.  Implements needed changes as indicated byevaluation
• Coordinateswith Administrators in the maintenance of a harmonious working relationshipbetween Nursing Home and Assisted Living programming
• Incoordination with Volunteer Coordinator, assists with placement and supervisionof volunteers

Experience/Skills/Education

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or fiveyears related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of educationand experience
• Current CPR certification or able to obtain certification within threemonths of employment
• Must possess valid Virginia driver’s license and good drivingrecord.  Must be willing to driveresidents in facility van or bus as needed
• Proficientin MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills

Preferred:

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
